Access over 10 million books with a PINES System Library Card!

West Georgia Regional Library System is a member of the PINES system, a statewide network of 300 libraries that allow reciprocal borrowing. You aren’t limited to just the books housed in the library you visit — if it’s available in any PINES library, it can be delivered to your library.

Who can get a Library Card?

ANYONE!

You are eligible for a FREE library card if:

Anyone else can get a library card for a $25 annual fee or $12.50 for 6 months.

Library Card FAQ & Policies

Yes! However, a parent or guardian must accompany their child when applying for a card.

The parent must present the required documents for a library card (listed above) and sign their child’s card.

We’ll replace your card! No fees required!

Most items check out for 2 weeks and can be renewed twice.

Exceptions to this are:

  • DVDs & VHS – 1 week
  • Projectors & screens – 1 day (not available at all locations)
  • e-books and e-audio – 2 weeks, no renewal

You can check out 50 total items but some item groups have additional limits:

  • 15 DVDs, videos, and/or games
  • 10 ebooks and/or audiobooks on Libby 
  • 4 credits on Hoopla and Kanopy

Most items can be renewed twice if they have not been requested by another library user.
You can renew by:

You can return items to any PINES participating library. They will be checked in and routed to their home library.

  • Overdue books, CDs and magazines .20 per item per day
  • Overdue DVDs, VHS tapes and interlibrary loans .50 per item per day
  • Printing and photocopying .15 per page
  • If an item is lost or damaged, your account will be charged the replacement cost of the item plus a $2 replacement fee.

    Note: We cannot accept replacement items you purchase.

Your library account is suspended if either of these apply:

  • there are more than 10 overdue items
  • there is a $10 or more balance owing

When suspended, you will be unable to use library services (including computers) until it is brought current.
